Acupuncture as a treatment for carpal tunnel? Did it work?
I am in great pain and I am currently seeing a chiropractor because my insurance covers chiropractic care. I had great success with acupuncture for treating sciatica. Does it work for carpal tunnel?
I have a friend with carpal tunnel that was being treated with acupuncture. After several sessions, he began to notice many positive changes in their condiiton – very positive and impressed with the results that he decided to become an acupuncturist herself. She is now in its second year undergraduate planning to apply this year. Now, of course this is based on an experience. However, pain management is one of the main strengths of acupuncture in the eyes of Western MD doctor. There is literature and research supporting acupuncture's ability to relieve pain, that many medical schools here in the U.S. or have not been offered or rotations of choice medical curriculum courses. As in your case, talk to a acupuncurist about their condition. If you decide to go along with treatment, ask if you can supplement your regime treatment with massage and breathing exercises you can do at home, in order to increase the effectiveness of treatment.
