Can I eat or drink after midnight before a radiograph of the spine?
I'm scheduled for an x-ray tomorrow in my column "lumbosacral" (I have sciatica). it says in the paper to X-rays .. upper GI series, studies of small intestine and esophagus: Do not eat or drink after midnight the day before the film and do not smoke or chew gum during the day. column does not mention it, but should refrain from eating or drinking, smoking or not? Rather not, of course.
I hate when people answer questions they know nothing. You do not have to fast for the backbone of friction LS x-rays. EGD using an endoscope. For an upper GI barium swallow and take x-rays.
