sciatica back pain relief

Back pain, sciatica?
I have been diagnosed with sciatica, which is worse when sitting. The only relief that meeting, which is limited with medication is hydrocodone. Looking for other patients with some advice. Thanks, Jeff in GA
Hydrocodone can ruin your life. Read the research. It is highly addictive and does not address the cause. Now, you can be in pain so intense that their use is their only relief for a few days, but watch out for that monkey, because once comes to your back will not let go. Get physical therapy. Lose weight if necessary. In my case, the key to treating sciatica was four nights of muscle relaxants and the beginning of a habit of yoga every day (it's addictive too, but in a good way! I have not had the problem for at least seven years). In my case, I realized when turned on would be relieved by stretching hamstrings and calves (you'd think it would be back, but problems began in the hamstring – The gluteus maximus met with the hamstring, to be exact). Also, make sure your shoes are giving good support.
