lower back pain that goes down leg
What could be causing the pain in my lower back / upper thigh?

For nearly a week since I've been having a sharp pain back a little lower, but especially in my upper thigh (Rear) area. The pain started only sometimes when I push the toilet. But gradually over time became more constant. Is the pain sharp pain and it traveled all the way down my leg so the pain goes from my lower back into the calf. Indeed hurts after sleeping or sitting for long periods, but never seems to go completely away, even walking is becoming painful. My first thought was a pinched nerve, but I have no idea. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how bad is it? It's my left leg and left side, in general, if that aid.

What sounds like a back problem. relaxation of the muscles of the lower back can cause inflammation that may put pressure on nerves the region which in turn can cause pain to travel down the leg. A disc problem will cause the same symptoms. Sitting for long periods of time without a doubt make you feel worse. In general, the further down the leg the pain travels, the worse the problem. I recommend a visit to your doctor. Your doctor will probably recommend Physical therapy is very effective for these problems. It may also recommend an MRI to rule out any major issues.
