Urinary tract infections, is this serious?
So for about 3 months I have been having a gradual increase back pain. When I'm sitting to stand the pain is so bad I lose my balance and fall. I have to cling to something to get up. When I sit, I have to sit slowly. When I go to sleep I have to sleep in some way. Off and it seems the pain is shooting from the lower back in my leg. It seems that this has started gradually, no significant incident occurred. Could this be serious?
Yes, it could be seriuos. I have the same symptoms you have. When you have sudden pain like that and lose your balance, presents nerve damage and / or nerve compression. You need to get an MRI with contrast, the contrast shows the nerve damage and / or compression. Are you seeing a pain management Dr? If not you probably should see one immediately.
