lower back pain colon

Can colon cancer back again?
My aunt had colon cancer when she was 30, and will dispose of and it was fine 50 years later (she is 80) until a month ago. She has received the blood from his bowels, and pain in the lower adominal. She went for a colonoscopy last week. Resluts still not back. So is it still possible to have colon cancer again after 50 years or it could be something else? The thing is that when he returned from the last week colonsocopy asked him how he was and said that "it was good, and not think it was colon cancer," But yesterday he told me still waiting over 2 resluts other doctors? And I am very confused?
Yes she may get colon cancer again. If this turns out to be a cancer, and I hope not, would be totally new cancer, not the old back. And yes, it could be something else too. The doctor who did the colonoscopy may have a good idea if it is cancer or not. However, he or she may have removed one or more polyps, which may have cancer and this case not necessarily have the appearance of cancer. When cancer is not obvious in colonoscopy is usually a good signal that is detected early and possibly cured by polypectomy.
My first colonic. 2/22/10
