lower back pain after epidural
Cardio, etc after a lower back injury.?

Background: I hurt my back somehow on or around February 2007. In July 2007, I was diagnosed with a ruptured lumbar disc (L3-L4) and a bulging lumbar disc (L4-L5). In mid-July 2007, I had epidural cortisone injections. My level of pain has gone down, and my ability to walk has gotten a lot better (I can really walk more than a block or two without having to sit). I've started building base (with yoga, pilates and stretching for a book called Back Rx), but I like to do more. I am desperate to get my cardiovascular endurance, without returning hurt his back. Any suggestions?

I agree with the writer who mentioned the elliptical. And will burn more calories per minute. Consider a Pilates class in a studio. Studio instructors are often highly trained, including continuing ed courses to students 'topics'. Conferences Pilates usually seminars on the back. So I feel that would benefit from a class because you tell the teacher about his injury. He / she will able to adapt Pilates exercises for you, and continue to teach others to not have the problem. There are also one-on-one Pilates apparatus work, but probably I do some floor exercises to see how it works for you.
