back pain rugby
Lower back pain question?

I play rugby and the beginning of each season I experience back pain. It seems to last about 8 weeks, then is improved, but never completely disappeared. I have tried physical therapy and acupuncture. I make a section twist not help but still wonder why the pain is there in the first place. Does anyone out there has some experience to share or advice?

What type of position are you? Poor posture can cause discomfort and pain odd areas. Keep stretching. Do not know your age, but could be an early sign of osteoarthritis, or scoliosis (curvature of the spine). See a doctor, x-rays of the spine to determine that nothing serious is happening.
