back pain headache and nausea

Most of us usually take aspirin to relieve headache, but contrary to popular belief, aspirin does not cure all headaches. Even chances are that aspirin can mask symptoms that are otherwise important in the diagnosis of underlying disease. Aspirin may also have effects side effects when used over a long period of time. Fortunately, most headaches with no other accompanying symptoms respond well to self-care.

It is estimated that nearly 90 percent of all headaches are caused by stress or tension, factors that can be controlled. If you have very intense headaches or unusual, you should consult your doctor. A very painful headache or unusual can be a symptom of a serious medical illness that requires adequate medical treatment and care.

There are three general categories of headache and it's tension, cluster and migraine headaches.

1. Tension headaches, also known as muscle contraction headache, is caused by muscle stiffness in the back and shoulders. This is because usually the physical and emotional stress. The pain is usually described as a feeling of pressure, a band around the head or whole head pain. It is believed the most common cause of headache, tension headache can be caused by work in difficult conditions and poor posture. Stress, anxiety and depression often causes tension headache. Tension headaches are considered chronic when it occurs two or more times per week for several months or longer. A visit to your doctor is advised.

The following are the symptoms of tension headache.

a. Constant pain is not pulsating.

b. There is a feeling of pressure, oppression and fullness in the top of the head or back of the neck.

c. Occasional nausea or vomiting may be experienced.

Headache Tension is usually remedied by treatment at home. Although aspirin or acetaminophen may relieve pain, prolonged use is not recommended because of the report accompanying adverse side effects. The care home management is an alternative pain better than pain killers. This can be done by taking a shower hot or cold and massage the neck muscles. Lying in a dark room, can provide relief. The pain may also be alleviated if you learn to relax using meditation, biofeedback, visualization, music and hypnosis.

2. Cluster headache is a very painful type of headache that affects mainly middle-aged men. A cluster headache usually do not have a sign before the start or when it will end. It usually takes 30 minutes to 2 hours before the appellant. The pain tends to worsen when you lie during an attack. More than pain relievers to not be helpful in relieving migraine. Oxygen inhalation 100 percent usually relieves the pain.

Cluster headaches have the symptoms: Constant pain around one eye that usually occurs at the same time each day or night. There is a stuffy nose on one side of the face accompanied by tearing and redness of one eye to the side of the nasal congestion.

3. migraine headache is caused by the widening of blood vessels of the head. The person may experience headache, nausea, therefore, the migraine is sometimes referred to as headache ill. People who experience migraine may see bright spots or flashes of light just before the headache strikes. There is more sensitivity to light. That's why a person suffering from a migraine headache wants to stay in a dark area. If you experience migraine headaches, try to stay in a dark place and lie down putting a cold wet cloth on the forehead. The symptoms of migraine include throbbing pain, pain that occurs mostly on one side of the head and experience a phase of pre-headache which usually involves distorted vision, abdominal pain and nausea.

Migraine headache is triggered by stress, excitement, caffeine, bright light, hunger, fatigue, and certain foods.
